-we're taking our big metal shelving unit (yes, we found the black plastic pieces)
-we've put together three wheels from IFI robotics and they're a tiny bit lighter than our old wheels!!!
-chrissy and sophia will make bumpers
-i think we're meeting everyday this week (mon-fri) after school until about 4:30 or 4:45 (as usual).
-kersten essentially declared herself our resident packing expert, so chrissy and i have decided to let her do everything (ha ha!)

Wow. Great minds think alike. I was just about to post a packing/Atlanta update.
Bumpers: highest priority is to make the front/back bumpers with the plywood we have, then make side ones and hopefully they will all weigh 15 lbs. We also need to finalize our attaching design with the bolts to brace the chassis rails apart.
Just because I'm the packing expert doesn't mean you all get off easy. We still also need to collaborate with electronics/programming to get their bin together, and I'm gonna call 114 to ask if they used anything other than tape to keep their boxes from falling open when they shipped to Portland.
Also:
on chain tensioning:
We need to talk with Jimmy and Em about this, but currently there is a plan to maybe put new chain on (with the new wheels) that is long enough for us to fit a bolt through the chassis rails as a tensioner, instead of the zip-tie solution.
How about sometime early this week we go over to IDEO and talk with Jim and Em? Monday Chrissy isn't there I think, but Tuesday I have no piano lesson, so how's that sound? I'll send out an email because I have no idea who's still reading the blog.
That's all for now.
Kersten
Four bumpers allows us to distribute the weight more evenly, but we'll talk with Aditi tomorrow. We talked about it today and yeah, we'll probably end up just doing the front and back ones. I thought you said you and Chrissy could do bumpers because you guys have mad bumper skill. We'll manage without you, though, I suppose...
